The Fall 2019 seller update says Top Rated Sellers "are eligible for a shipping label credit for false 'item not as described' claims, and they can protect themselves by deducting up to 50% from refunds for decreased value on used or damaged returns."
I understand it's a $6 credit. But how do I get it?
I tried calling EBay many times. The reps kept telling me to call back for various reasons until finally one rep said I needed to use the "Report Issue With Buyer" link in the return case.
I reported using that link for four different cases that were obvious False Returns. One of the cases was the most obvious false return I'd ever gotten, a buyer saying I didn't disclose something that was explained in extreme detail in the title, description, and photos. That was weeks ago. No $6 credits. Nothing.
Anyone know how to get the credit? And did you actually get the credit, and did it remove the case from Service Metrics like the seller update says it does?

@sonoranboutique Yes, I did this in November and it worked for me. I had a Not as Described return forcing me to pay for shipping and it was obviously untrue, stating that my listing described something that was not described at all. I selected Report a Buyer for misusing the MBG (money back guaratee) and gave eBay my reason in the comments.
The reason I selected was "Claimed the item was not as described when that wasn’t true". You should have quickly received an email from eBay saying "We'll review your report with any other information we have, including reports from other sellers. Your report is confidential and won't be shared with the buyer. However, keep in mind that we won't be able to tell you about any specific action we take."
It took 13 days to get the $6 and it showed as a credit against my eBay fees. I didn't receive an email when it happened but received a Seller Protections Monthly Summary email that showed one $6 Return Label Credit and one Defect Removed. As long as you are a Top Rated Seller you should receive this as long as eBay agrees with your reason.

Cool thanks for the info, any idea if it removed it from your Service Metrics page? (Not the seller dashboard... the Service Metrics page where it keeps track of how many not-as-described returns you have.)

I have a very disturbing update on this - there was a delay but the INAD return that eBay agreed was NOT a valid Item Not As Described return is now showing in my Service Metrics. I called eBay because I thought it would be removed and not counted there where it could cause Final Value Fee increases. They said if the buyer opens the return with that reason it stays in Service Metrics and will not be removed, even if eBay finds in favor of the seller in that case. This is very upsetting that their "improvement" of Seller Protections is not removing it from Service Metrics!
