So, list a carburetor on here for sale, and this guy bought it, obviously this guy is a a$$, he sent 5 messages wondering when I was going to send it out when it clearly stated that it was up to 5 days handling time(I sent it out that morning) Then this guy says it will not work right, witch was because he installed it incorrectly, I tried to explain this, he would not listen, and kept telling me what he thought was wrong, witch obviously he dont know much, and no were did I say it came with tech support. Anyhow, this clown wants to return it so ebay forces me to accept a return, the sobs at ebay generate a return label, and charge me $35, so then this guy waits a week to send it out, then when it getts to the post office in my home town the post, returns it to this guy beacause it has my street address on it, not the p.o. box because, the stupid ebay system. would not at that time allow a p.o. box. So this guy getts the part back witch had nothing wrong with it other than he was an idiot. and ebay gives him a full refund. So i am out the part, the money, the shipping, the return shipping label that they screwed up for $35, and 2 weeks aggravation dealing with this clown, and the worthless ebay who says it sucks to be you. I have done many, many thousands of dollars of business, on ebay over 15 years, now i am going to fire them. There isnt even a way to leave bad feedback on this guy.. unreal

Hi, sorry for your trouble.
Can you give a bit more info why having your street address on the return shipping label prevented the package from being delivered to you?

I don't care if you have a 5 day handling time listed. Did you reply to his first message and tell him it was going to be a week or do you just ignore his messages and wait the week? Explain to me how the post office could not deliver the package? Have you tried talking to Ebay's live chat?

Just a thought... are all of your Address fields up to date? Your Return address, in particular?

OP, do you live in a small town, where it must be delivered to your PO Box b/c you don't have street address delivery? Is that what you're saying?
I'm not sure what that other poster is referring to, if you have 5 day handling, it's perfectly fine for you not to send for 5 business days.

I didn't though I sent it out less than a day after the auction. the guy started sending messages as soon as the auction ended. I list it that way in case i get hung up somewhere or the week end or holiday whatever..

Yes i live in a rural area, i sent it out less than a day after the auction ended, I think its obviously an a$$ move to start getting aggressive with the messaging. Basically the minute the auction ended..

I understand you are upset. Spending some time learning the rules and policy of this site would like help you enormously to better navigate and sell here.
Buyers like this are annoying to us all and we all experience them from time to time. But name calling is never appropriate. However unless the buyer went over with you, step by step how they installed the item, you can't know if they installed it incorrect. You insult the buyer's intelligence above as well, simply not necessary.
Ebay only "forced" you to honor the INAD because you didn't do it voluntarily. So once your time was up in taking care of accepting the INAD, an option became available to the buyer to ask Ebay to step in and clearly they exercised that option.
The amount you had to pay in return shipping, you can take that up with Ebay if they were incorrect in the amount. Just have your information together, what you charged on the original sale, what you actually paid, what carrier you used and the weight of the item. Then discuss with them without any colorful language how you can get the overcharge back. Getting upset with them will likely only insure they won't want to help you. We get typically get more when we are nice to others.
As to your ship to address. That one is in your hands. Ebay goes by what YOU have entered in your Site Preferences. So I would go and check your addresses. There are several places to enter addresses as they can all be different. Primary, Ship to, Return to, etc. So "stupid" Ebay did not make the mistake, then went by the records you entered.
I can see where this is simply annoying, especially since the buyer will get the part back. You could politely email your buyer, explain your mistake and ask them to reship the item to you if you supplied them with the return label. You can do that if you still want the item back.
You have a misunderstanding about the return policies and the definition of them allowed on the site as well has the way to process an INAD. You never want the buyer to have the option to ask Ebay to step in.

While the handling time didn't play any part of the problem the OP ended up having with this buyer. There is nothing Ebay can do to help this OP with their issues on this transaction with the exception of possibly that big return shipping cost.

the O.P. is in Alaska
Probably why they have the 5-day handling time to either get to the post office or have USPS pick it up.

the O.P. is in Alaska per profile and we all know auto parts are a target for scams. Handling time / shipping is not going to be immediate at all!
Curious of the O.P. reviewed this buyer's profile and all feedback before shipping?
The issue of street address vs. P.O. box is questioning. Did the buyer manipulate the return label? I think many of us know, possibly been a victim, or have read posts about sellers being scammed on a return label. eBay only goes by tracking number and not the address from my scam buyer experience. This is where maybe the return policy / rules need to be reviewed.

Um, what does that have to do with anything? Are you suggesting sellers don't ship PAID ORDERS based on feedback?

Are you accusing the buyer of a questioning? The buyer physically returned the caburetor, waiting a week (again a 5-day handling) because eBay allows 10 business days to mail the return label.
Then the seller admits using their street address instead of their PO Box, and blames eBay for their own mistake despite knowing ahead of the return that they could not possibly ever get their caburetor back.
