How to accept a private offer from a buyer on a listed bid

I've got a listed bid which has 72 hours left and it has two bids so far.

I've received a private offer for a higher fee than I expected, how can I cancel the listing and accept this?

How to accept a private offer from a buyer on a listed bid

People don't generally make an offer in YOUR best interest. Usually it's because they know it will go higher and want to slime in before the competition arrives at the end.

Why would you want to make other bidders unhappy just to sell to one person making an offer on an ongoing auction?

You don't.  Since the auction has bids, you just let it ride.  If the new guy wants it bad enough, he will just place his max bid like everyone else and hope he doesn't get outbid.  Chances are, it will go higher than what he is offering, and he knows it.

If it works, sell it. If it works well, sell it for more. If it doesn't work, quadruple the price and sell it as an antique.
