Hello,
Is there a way to stop Ebay from automatically relisting a fixed price listing?
I got distracted and I just got caught with a bunch of them at .35 a pop.....
Thanks

That's what eBay was hoping for when they started GTC. Unattentive or unaware users getting stuck with the rollover fees was eBay's plan for greater profits all along. When GTC was first forced, sellers came up with a lot of schemes to beat the rollover. Some worked and many sellers adapted, but it's likely many still get stuck like you did. I just switched to auctions.

Yup....I knew they did it to catch us and normally I stop it, but I let a bunch get too close to the end, then I got distracted.....and you know the rest.......
I'll start delisting sooner....I was just hoping there was an option to not auto relist like Ebay used to have.
And yes, it is frustrating that Ebay has a policy in place that is specifically designed to "catch" us.

the relisting is done to help you sell the item. If your getting charged that means your over your allowed amount of listings per month, either decrease the amount your listing per month or open a ebay store to increase the allowed amount.

Another option would be to just start a second selling account, and just leave all your listings up all the time.

This is why many Sellers sell on more than 1 ID. Taking advantage of another set of free listings.

thing of the past, MP kinda made that option not as worth while with much higher fees for non-store subscribers and made it more "beneficial" to open a store (basic and up, starter still gets higher fees).

Understood......but at the lowest store fee per month, still getting 250 free listings on another ID is/was attractive to many Sellers. Not that big a savings off fees...12.55% vs 11.55% with a store + cost of store or 250 listings x .35 cents savings.

the fee is over 13%+ depending on category...that can make or break a sale on many items with large competition https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/selling-fees-managed-payments-sellers?id=482...

I have been self-employed in sales for 58 years, the last 29 as a retailer. It is my opinion the primary reason for GTC was to increase fees from sellers who were not closely monitoring their accounts. I DO NOT criticize e-Bay for that action, as it is the responsibility of the seller to take care of business. Personally, I cancel a listing in its final day and then relist when I have available free bees. The only occasion when I failed was a single 9 hour period when my Internet was down. To avoid a repeat of that situation, I cancel at least 12 hours before the rollover.
