How to Handle if a buyer has the wrong mailing address, and the package is returned?

So as the title suggests...a buyer bought something from me...had the wrong address (it was invalid) and it was returned to me. Now the buyer still wants to item, but I have to now ship it out again? It was his fault to begin with... do I have to cover the shipping? I offered free shipping for him to begin with...so I paid it out of pocket the first time. If I ship it out again to him with the proper address...do I have to pay this as well? What should I do to hae the buyer pay?

I had this happen to me several months ago.  Buyer enter the wrong address, the post office return the package.  I also provide free shipping.  In my case, I return the money minus the shipping fees, as it was the customer that enter the wrong address.

If you want to sell to this person again, have him/her enter the right address and ship for free.  Good luck on your selling journey.

In addition to the shipping cost, you also should deduct your FVF from the refund since ebay doesn't prorate the FVF for partial refunds.
