Geezzz...ebay has made everything so hard....How does one be able to reply on this format?? I have wriiten a question, then tried to respond to a few of your concerns, but ebay, in their 'wisdom'. won't let me reply. Do I need a phone or something? Is ebay going to buy me the phone?

No way of knowing if you will find this so I have sent a PM (you may find that)
Click on your user id name @greatprospects and you will come to page where there are your posts and replies to posts

@greatprospects If you asked the question in a "member to member" board or "ask a mentor" post, I don't think you can respond to those.

You can respond on the Ask A Mentor thread IF you are the OP or a Mentor. No one else can respond.

Seems you are getting the hang of it. It really isn't complicated, so don't overthink it. You are doing great.

Yep...
All but one of his prior posts was in the ask a mentor category in which only mentors can answer those posts.
As @mam98031 said...if you tried to answer a post that was not yours but the post is in the ask a mentor category, you (and I) will not be able to answer those posts because we are not mentors.
Most categories are open for general use.

But the OP said they asked a question, but cannot reply now. So if they can reply in their mentor thread, what other boards can't they reply in?
I asked this exact same question when I was new here and was told there are certain boards I can't reply on but I had no idea what "boards" are, or what they were talking about. No one said the list of boards is along the top, next to the house symbol. So maybe that's the question they're asking, is where can they post questions and reply to the answers. I wish someone had told me that.

If someone asks a question on the Ask a Mentor board then they can post subsequent posts on that same thread they started with their question, but no other thread on the Ask A Mentor board. And then of course Mentors can freely respond to any question they choose.
Now don't get this confused with the Ebay Community Mentor's board. That is different. This board is for Mentors only.
So important to be on the right board.

I understand that, but this doesn't tell the OP why they can't reply if they don't know anything about the boards. Do you think they asked questions previously on the "Ask a Mentor" board like @hurryagain said, and then read more of those boards and tried to reply to those? That would explain it.
But maybe it's like @downunder-61 said. They can't find the post they asked their question on.

No you don't need a phone. I don't have one and I do everything on ebay and on these boards on my desktop.
I don't think they'll buy you one, but you could ask them. 😀

It does if they are looking at the wrong board.
I don't know what the OP did, they haven't come back to join the conversation.
I've looked at the Ask a Mentors board and I don't see any recent post by the OP at all. Certainly it could have been a few days ago they posted there, hard to say. But until the OP comes back and participates in the conversation, we are likely never to know for sure.

Below is a screenshot of his posts. Page #2 is all on the ask a mentor board as well.

I saw that. Did you see he didn't reply to ANY of those except for 1 in 2018.
I think his reply buttons are broken. He's probably reading all this right now and pulling his hair out because he can't reply. LoL Sorry OP, not laughing at you.

I sent OP a private message linking him to it, thought maybe he would notice the red envelope up the top and click on it.
Only a couple of replies to his threads, so pretty sure he is having trouble finding his posts and might just stumble across them every now and then.
It can be confusing if you don't live here like I do LOL
