I was checking on my competition selling the same item as me.
Mine: $18.50 + $5 S&H = $23.50 total
Comp #1: $12.98 + $5.99 S&H = $18.97 total
Comp #2 ... $22.00 + free shipping = $22.00 total
Ebay has the $22.00 listing flagged as "Great Price".
If $22.00 is a great price, then $18.97 is a "Really Great Price".

You can post a screenshot of specifically where that phrase shows up, but I'm sure those little come-ons are random.
If it's placed where I think you might be seeing it, listings can say things like, "30-day returns" or "Ships from United States" or "100% buyer satisfaction."

I am thinking your are referring to the pineapple candy? The main difference I see in the listings is the "Great price" listing has bulk savings when more than one is purchased.
This is what I found on eBay about the Great Price designation...

That looks more like what the OP was referring to--which was not what I was thinking of.

I just think it's kind of silly for ebay to promote one of these listings as "great price" when there are others at a lower price.

I'm so glad you pointed this out because it's been driving me nuts. I've tried taking a "Great Price" listing using Sell Similar, then precisely matching the item specifics, price, etc. just to see what could possibly be the flag for eBay to add the banner, but nothing changed. The only thing I didn't do was bulk savings.
So basically, it's most likely captured by one of the only things not mentioned by eBay as a factor in the Great Price description. Nice.

Pretty obvious then that GREAT price has nothing to do with BEST price, and a signal that a buyer should keep looking.

I am pretty sure the free shipping has something to do with it. I know that in at least the collectible category, free shipping carries a lot of weight. I suggest to adjust your price to include shipping and take off a couple of pennies to make sure your price is near the lowest and let the customers see that for themselves. I've never paid attention to that as a buyer, I figured the sellers pay for that kind of thing. As a shopper, I only look at the feedback and the price of what I want, the badges next to the name don't mean much.
Even my searches get changed from "best match" to "least expensive" and I doubt I am the only one that shops that way.

eBay Motors can put a green checkmark at the beginning of the title. My listing was superior in every way. I had more feedback, a lower price, free shipping, you name it, except the number of units sold. A month later, I had the most units sold and the checkmark did not move to my listing.
Don't obsess about a defective algorithm that won't reward you.
Mine was Rendezvous Glovebox Hinge that ended on Oct-19 15:31. I am presently out of stock.
