I sold a jewelry set to someone, they didn't like it so I issued a refund. But during that time, the didn't just let me know they weren't happy with the item but they continuously harassed me saying I was the scammer and fraud. They did not post that the item was received, so no mailing label was issued. Ebay closed the transaction. So they weren't able to print a mailing label. Ebay informed me that I need to contact Paypal and cancel the refund, but Paypal said they cannot do that. There was nothing they could do. Ebay then told me I had to message the buyer and ask for it back. So I sent them a mailing label through fedex asking for them to mail me back the items. But they have not responded. These items are worth over $300. So they got their money and kept the items they supposedly did not want! I am frustrated, upset and feel I was the one scammed and did not have ebay to back me up.

You don't issue a refund until you get your items back. Too bad they are very pretty. Why did you issue a refund before the items were returned? Ebay can't do anything about it now, not that they would do much, but at least they would not have issued a refund unless the items showed delivery back to YOU.
Unfortunately all you can do now is pay them a visit to their front door.

Is there a reason why you refunded before the item was returned? Your post is a bit confusing...
You never give a refund until the item is returned.

If you refunded the buyer before you got the items back, there isn't much you can do now.
As far as Ebay is concerned, as soon as you refunded, the case was closed.

Well I just went by what Ebay told me to do. I understand I am at fault, but felt I could of had more support. I am not very familiar with the Ebay website.

Thank you. Yes, they were my mothers. I did what Ebay told me to do. I wasn't aware how these things work. Now I do!

I am so sorry this happened to you. In general, i advise my friends and family who want to learn how to sell here, not to list expensive items until they learn the ins and outs of selling.
Unfortunately, sellers are pretty much on their own when it comes to support on eBay. They assume all sellers are well-versed in the policies and user agreement terms when they list their first item. Ebay makes it easy to post that first item to sell, but in reality it is hard to be a new seller here.
I’m afraid you are solely responsible for this costly mistake. But you are not alone. This happens at regular intervals on the platform. If eBay has any responsibility, it would be the lack of warnings for new sellers of the many pitfalls that await them. I feel for you and wish something could be done to ease the consequence.

In the future agree to accept a return and refund after you get it back. If tracking isn't showing on the return label by 5 days you call eBay and ask them to close the case with no refund. If you get it back you have 2 days to refund.
You should put measurements in the listings. Already you have a comment smaller than it looks. Measurements might avoid someone returning it for that reason. I know you don't accept returns but a buyer will open a snad to be able to return it even though nothing is wrong with it. And you'll have to accept the return. Just trying to help you avoid returns.

No. eBay told me no mailing label was issued because they didn’t post the item was not received. I refunded it anyway.

Thank you. I appreciate it.
