How do you remove the NEW "recently purchased" intro page on eBAy?

I just bought a Hard Cover Book today...used.  from a Thriftstore for 3.99.

Now I am getting weird..."you might like this" pictured ads.  Is this for real?

 they are all over the intro page.

The easiest way is to never visit the Home Page. Use a bookmark to go directly to My eBay, Seller Hub or this discussion board.

Personally I wander over to the home park every couple of months just to see what's going on.

You could also dump any eBay cookies in your browser although I'm not 100% sure that will work if you are logged in.
