TL;DR: What I'm asking : Is there a way to print my packing slips in a specific order, then print the labels in the same order (so I don't have to play match the labels and waste time).
Hello everyone, this is my first post-- I did a google search on this question and I came up with things like ' how to print a packing slip'...not what I'm looking for.
So I can print all packing slips in one shot and I can also print all labels in one shot.
It doesn't help that I have 50 packing slips in seemingly random order followed by 50 shipping labels in a seemingly different order.
When I try to sort by name then print packing slips, I see everything gets out of order.
When I buy the labels I can usually get them in alphabetical order, but the packing slips are just random and it wastes time to match them
I'm sure there are 3rd party programs that do this but I'm looking for the simplest way to do it on ebay so I can teach my staff and make things easier on us.
Thanks so much for your response!

Not on eBay unless you print one at a time. On some 3rd party programs you can sort and print in order using bulk.
Stamps.com offers a free eBay account and I'm pretty sure you can sort with them.

Try printing the labels first and the packing slips second.

Thanks for the quick reply.
So after I buy and print the labels, there are 3 options
' print the labels'
'print the package list'
'receipt'
'scan form'
I wish there was an option for 'packing slips in the same order'.
Where should I go to print the packing slips after I have paid and printed the labels in alphabetical order

On your manage all order page. You can customize the view of the page (top right area) click customize. Then change the setting for Buyer information from user name to buyers name and apply changes.
Then set to sort order to Buyers name on your awaiting shipment page, which should allow you to print out the packing slips in buyers name order?
The only issue I can think of that you will encounter from time to time is when a buyer is sending something to another persons name (friends, relative, etc). Hopefully it will be just one order like that each time, so the elimination process will match them up.
Good Luck Selling!

I do everything from the awaiting shipment page.
I do not bulk print shipping labels though. We have a lot of combined items so weight and packing size issues come into play.
We bulk print all packing slips and pull the items from them. Then work the label one at a time( two of us ). A lot of them we can do the label fairly quick because of repeats of the same order over and over.

Don't print packing slips.
Problem solved.

This is a terrible answer, You realize the packing slip shows the item title, which has my item bin location..the package list doesn't show variation style either
You obviously don't sell much.

This is what sounds like it will work, but for some reason it doesnt!! This is my biggest problem with ebay
Example I have 3 orders left which I tested this on just now. Will use name initials for this example
(I would say printing the packing slip is pointless but we need it for different sizes garments or colors etc. (package list isn't detailed))
This is how the buyers come up on manage orders after I alphabetized them:
A. D.
A. G.
T. D.
Now when I go to print packing slips, this is the order they bring me:
T.D.
A.G.
A.D.
This is arbitrary... When I actually print the labels I can sort them by name again. Basically I'm trying to eliminate a step that potentially takes 1-2 hours out of the shipping schedule which can be used for making more listings instead of scratching our head looking for matching slips.

I have only been selling about $1.4 million every year since 2000.
