How do you open a unpaid item claim?

This use to be pretty straight forward, now it seem to be pretty difficult to open a claim, 4 day since purchase only thing I see in drop down menu is cancel order and that does not have the reason for unpaid item listed. Any help, Thank you Steve

How do you open a unpaid item claim?

@scrane2006   eBay changed the way Unpaid items are handled and @luckythewinner includes a link that explains it.  You can set them to automatically Cancel in 4 days or you can have it set where YOU decide when, after 4 days, to Cancel the sales.  In typical eBay fashion they have buried the setting but here is a link to where you can turn it ON or OFF.

https://www.ebay.com/Cancel/Preference/UnpaidPurchase

Mine is OFF because before they changed to this new system I was set to Manually file UPIs the old way.

Go to the top of any page on the main eBay site, click the "Help & Contact" link, and search for "unpaid item".

The search will return this page, which explains the new process and gives step-by-step instructions about how to do what you are asking:

Resolving unpaid items with buyers
