Buyer communicated with me correctly and I told him to open a return and he chose "Order By Mistake"
I got the item back and he didn't even open the package.. lol
Item cost was $100 + $13.59 in shipping.. he paid $8.38 in tax
So, I am going to be a good guy and refund his original shipping cost although eBay say's I don't have to..
I went to the page to issue refund and it says:
Refund summary: Item price $100 + $13.59 (Original shipping) - Fees of $14.16 = $99.43 as the refund
Am I missing something?.. Why wouldn't be more?.. Shouldn't it be $113.59 as the refund? minus the tax that eBay will refund?

$99.43 comes from you and the remaining $14.16 (eBay fees) is refunded to the buyer from eBay plus any tax that eBay may have collected. So your buyer will receive a total of $113.59 refund plus any tax they paid.

eBay deducted $14.16 fees from $113.59 leaving $99.43. So if you take the total $113.59, and deduct eBay fees of $14.16 you get the refund of $99.43. eBay refunds your fees.

Hopefully eBay will refund the final value fee on your behalf. You technically only had 99.43 from eBay because they deducted the final value fee. So you yourself are only issuing a refund of 99.43, because eBay has the rest. So hopefully eBay will refund the final value fee part of it to the buyer.
