uncheck "International Shipping" option on the listings, only apply it for the listings you want to ship international.

I understand what your saying.
When I relist an item, the internal box will be automatically checked though it was not during the previous auction.
I assume eBay has set this up to possibly increase their international sales service.?

You talking about Global Shipping? It is always auto checked and there is no way to change on a new listing. After a listing is created, there are 2 ways to disable.
After listing, 'edit' all listings', then 'create 'excluded' areas, basically checking all but the US- even though GS will still be checked, it will not allow anyone to purchase or use GS outside of the US.
Or, when creating a listing, manually 'uncheck'.

if that's the case, you would change it in your shipping preferences
Account Settings > Site Preferences > Shipping preferences

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem as of this week. Two items have been bought abroad, very unexpectedly, eBay then adds on £1 postage to the buyers bill, whereas the cost is £4 -7 more expensive eating considerably into my item profits.
All of my preferences are set to UK only postage and have been for years. In fact my listings viewed on desktop don't even show international postage enabled, I can only see it on mobile app, and only then when I go to "Revise Item" do I see it, then I have to manually disable it on the mobile app listing, individually, this gets very tiresome very quickly when I'm relisting 40 odd items.
Please sort it out eBay.
