If you see more than that 1 watcher as the number of 'interested buyers' who would receive an offer, sorry but there's no way to segregate any individuals out of them, in fact you can't even see the usernames, just how many there are.  

What you could do is revise the item price to 50% off and edit the title FOR LINDA ONLY (or whatever their name is).   Be sure they agree ahead of time, before you do any of that, and it would be best to agree on a specific time for the revision to post.  

Another thing would be to ask the buyer to pay full price, with the promise that you'll immediately refund 50%.  It might sound like a 'trust fall' to some, but I do it all the time for combined shipping.  

EDIT: One more way!  -Just turn "Make Offer" on for that listing, tell them you did it, and when they make the offer, accept it!

I'm just a little lost on your question - If you are willing to sell the item for half of what you have it listed for -  Why not lower the price for everyone, it really doesn't matter who buys it. One more thing - watchers I've discovered, aren't usually buyers, they may have the identical item and just want to see if there is any interest in it, and if it sells, and at what price it sells for - that is my experience anyway - others may have different experiences.

I lower the price then email the buyer with the caveat it's possible somebody may beat them to it.

Did the viewer message you thru eBay?  When I receive a message from eBay to my regular email, I am provided with a option to "Reply with offer".   If I offer a price it only goes to this one viewer and not the rest.

Did your emailed message from eBay include the "Reply with offer" button?
