I believe you have to divulge your location and it should match where your items are located as well, unless something has changed. It's also helpful to the buyers to know where their order is coming from.

Why?

@ry_503666 If you are talking about where the items are that you sell its not possible, here's eBay's Policy on it.
If you are not comfortable with that then Selling on eBay may not be a good choice for you.

The listing would only show the city you are in, not your exact location, it does not show your name/address. When the item is sold, then the buyer can see your name etc.
Looking at the OPs profile, I see this notation; "i am at a currently different location", with the location showing United Sates. If you are not in the USA, then you need to show your actual location.

The seller's registered location does not have to match the item's location; however, both must be accurate.

Without buyers looking at shipping time, that is where they can run into problems. The seller may have an office in the USA which is shown in the listing as location, but the item could be coming from and payment going to a foreign country, or the item could be in the USA but payment is going to foreign county. I have had latter happen. The only way I found out was when I saw a charge on my checking account, for foreign money conversion transaction.

Hi again @ry_503666 ,
Your eBay Selling account has 5 Addresses (pic below) and you can view them through the link provided here: https://accountsettings.ebay.com/uas/addresses

Are you referring to your listings? Or your return address on packages? Can you be a little more specific?

Think you for posting that.
I get the impression they might be trying to hide the location shown on the listing or their profile, but could be the return address on the package, which can't be done in the current world we live in. All packages need to show an address that is connected to that shipper and would be shown when the buyer pays. Guess they could rent a PO box but that would not work for outgoing UPS or FedEx, or would it? Then there is the name thing!

There are two locations on each item listing:
Beyond that, I'm not sure whether anything else is germane to this particular thread.

The OP's question is:
"I want to make it so my location doesn't show."
That is not part of "eBay's Algorithm."
I'm not sure why you'd accuse the OP of copying his/her competitions' listings. For one thing, there's no indication that's what s/he's trying to do, and for another, eBay has a "sell similar" option that essentially accomplishes that very thing.
