I sold an item and the buyer didn't pay or answer any of my emails. I sent the listing through to the dispute resolution. When I went to leave feedback for this buyer I got this message, "It looks like you already left feedback or you waited longer than our policy allows.". I hadn't left feedback. I waited the obligatory 2 days for the buyer to pay and the next obligatory 4 days for my claim to be settled. So in this case, eBay only allows 6 days for you to post a feedback?
And another strange thing.........this buyer has all positive feedbacks, and yet there are 7 entries in the past 6 months that claim he never paid or responded to emails! How the heck could he get positive feedbacks for such negative dealings?

--------------------------------------------------
Because sellers don't have the option to leave neg feedback. And those sellers who left a positive with negative comments violated the feedback policy. The feedbacks would be removed if reported.. Sellers are not allowed to leave neg comments for buyers and non payers..

Buyers can only receive positive feedback regardless of how negative the dealings were. You have the option to block the buyer.

You're kidding! I don't think that's right. The winning bidder apparently had no intention of buying and when I relisted and sold the item I only got 60% of what I originally was supposed to get. The buyer stiffed me plain and simple.......and I can't leave negative feedback. What kind of laws is eBay running here anyways?

Apparently, according to a previous comment, sellers are NOT allowed to leave negative feedback. How inane is this? And on this buyer, those sellers that left negative comments on a positive feedback have violated eBay's policy, and those feedbacks should be reported. Seems to me this is an eBay policy that needs to be looked at again. And BTW, I did block the buyer.

Sellers file Unpaid Item Disputes, and if the buyer does NOT pay within the extra 96 hours allowed, the seller closes the UID. Seller gets the FVF credited and the buyer gets an unpaid strike recorded on his account. Sellers can BLOCK buyers with 2 or more unpaid strikes from bidding/purchasing their listings. The block will last for 12 months.
