I had an item sold where a buyer wanted to return for a refund - no problem - until I tried to process the refund after the item was received back.
eBay was having one of their typical "glitches" where the refund would not go through - I tried about 10 times, each time I got an error message.
I contacted eBay customer service, the person admitted that it was an eBay glitch, and eBay took care of processing the refund. The eBay rep said that since it was eBay's problem, no transaction defect would be recorded.
So lo and behold, I then get a defect since "eBay had to step in".
Is there an easy way to contest this defect with eBay? I hate to have to talk to CS again, since they led me astray the first time..
