Hi. I combined shipping for a customer and he is requesting for me to separate the order. Is this possible? I've been searching and can't find information on how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to please this request.

Not sure I'm understanding the issue. If you purchased the shipping label but haven't used it, you can void that label easily. You will receive a credit back in about 2 weeks. Just repack the items separately and weigh them again. Purchase each label and make sure you place them on the correct package. Each package will now have a separate tracking number so your buyer will know you shipped them separately.

Actually, I haven't received payment from buyer and so I haven't purchased the shipping label. All I did was combine the shipping to send him an invoice for both of his items, as requested. Now he/she is requesting separate invoices. I am not finding any info on how to separate an invoice.

The only reason to send an invoice is because you are combining items together, and therefore changing the shipping. If you sold two separate items with their own shipping charges, then buyer simply has to pay individually from their own purchase tab. There would be nothing for you to do on your end. Sorry, I'm still not understanding the issue you are having.

eBay has various versions of their code to uncombine purchases.
You should find a link or dropdown where the purchases are awaiting payment, to uncombine the purchases.

Yes but how do you uncombine purchases that were already paid for. If the same user buys two of my items, ebay will combine the shipment automatically, and I will not notice this until after the custmer has paid.
Very often it is unsafe to combine certain items or impossible as they are already packed well and I do not have a box that would combine them geometrically.
Once it is paid I need a way to separate these items or I need some setting to ask ebay NOT to automatically combine shipping. The most frustrating part is that all of this takes my valuable time. When I already have items pre-weighed and boxed, all I have to do is put a label on to ship. Automatically combining shipping creates extra labor on my part which costs me my time, and I don't like that.

I'm having the same issue! I have the setting OFF for auto combing payments/ shipping, but I just had another auction where one person bought 3 items and it was auto combined! And it won't let me print a separate label for each item, just one for all items. I prepack everything, so I don't just have a larger box lying around to throw everything in to!

i dont know if this fits in, but i just sent a invoice with combined shipping for 2 items, and the buyer paid the invoice. NOW sometimes i will charge combined shipping but still ship seperatly anyway (for many reason that may happen) , there use to be a option for that, BUT now im seeing there isnt . if you combined the shipping then you can only print 1 packing label.. good thing i was able to fit both into 1 package, but for future refernece i would send multiple invoices with discounted shipping price on 1 or something like that from now on ( so i could buy seperate label in need be). i dont know why ebay changed this.

i know sometimes i combined shipping when ask, but then i dont like, OR i cant fit the 2 item together safely, so i pay a few extra $$ to buy seperate shipping lables. It would be nice to find the option to do this (in the past you could) .. if there isnt a way now, ill just send 2 seperate invoices, 1 with discounted shipping or something.. but there should be a option (i cant find it either , but im not the OP)

EBAY ONLY ALLOWS 5 DIFFERENT SHIPPING (TRACKING) LABELS PER ITEMS PURCHASED, REGARDLESS OF QTY BUYERS PURCHASE UNDER ONE LISTING...
1st Step correct the weight & size of items package box that EBAY has made changes to
2nd Step choose your carrier like normally you would
3rd Step print this 1st shipping label
4th Step go to the previously sold shipped items in the EBAY Sellers Hub = (Shipping Labels)
5th Step find and select the item you already created & purchased the 1st shipping label for
6th Step select the drop down action to the left of this item listing line actions and you will see the option to "Print Another Label". That is going to print an additional shipping label with a completely different tracking number for this additional packaged item box.
7th Step make all the corrections to the weight and shipping box size before you select the carrier and than select "Print Shipping Label". This will give you another shipping label for the same item, to the same customer, but with another different tracking number for this different box.
8th step ((BE VERY AWARE)) = Pay attention to what the buyer was charged by EBAY for shipping these multiple items purchased, because you might be losing money on combined shipping verses what you originally calculated in your original product listings, SINCE EBAY ONLY ADJUSTS THE CALCULATED WEIGHT & NOT THE ADDITIONAL SIZE OR BOXES.
EBAY has been made aware of this, but hasn't fixed this yet.

Excellent advice @lamber9347 . The buyer can just pay for each item separately and pay the full shipping on each purchase. This is the easiest and least complicated way to handle this. All @montecristo needs to do is email the buyer and let them know how they can do this.
Maybe the buyer needs to have the items shipped to two different places. Or maybe they need to pay for the items with two separate payment methods.

EBay is only "automatically" combining shipping if YOU have your account set up to do that. If you don't like it, change your site preferences.
