Let’s update here.
1. How are your sales doing? Compared to last month? Last year.
2. What have you done to improve sales? Here or other places?
3. What are your future goals?
4. Have you spoke to anyone about it? How has it turned out for you?
5. LAST BUT NOT LEAST. . . HOW ARE THE PROMOTED LISTINGS FEATURE HELPING YOU?
One side note. . . I’ve read where ebay wants to get rid of the counter because “it doesn’t seem to be helping”! Really? How do we know if we need to tweak our listing, find out it’s not showing up, what control would we have?

1. November sales are up 24% over 2017 ... November Sales are about the same as October.
2. Keeping overall conversion rate high and overall click-through rate high for the inventory. Getting rid of stale inventory that is more than 6 months on the eBay shelves.
3. Nothing unique at the moment ... just getting back-logged inventory listed.
4. No.
5. Promoted listings working OK for items that have high competition ... pointless for OOAK or unique items.

When Ebay sends you the messages that you have watchers and to drop the price by a minimum of 5% do it . I have had some sales doing that.

THanks for the info, I'll try that next time.

I dropped my prices the first time ebay sent that message.
Not one sale.
Now I ignore that suggestion.
I did try using the volume pricing on all items. So far not one sale using that.

Same here. Most of my collectible items have little competition, so for the most part my buyers are not shopping by price.

I’ve had those notices too. Funny thing, one day I searched out who else had the item and NO one did. I hope we keep this one going so we can get a feel for what other sellers experience.

Overall last 30 days I'm running within +/- norms...although this week I am down over $500.
For the last few days it has taken a whiles to even get an ebay bot to crawl some of my listings which means I'm in a brownout/throttle.
I did avoid the October plummet, first time in about 15 years, I have ro reason to believe it is anything I did since I've been selling the same product lines, the same way and listing 10-20 items daily for the last 15 years.
Dodge one bullet get hit with the other.

1. Compared to last month they are about the same.
2. I am just making my listings as best as I can. Making sure I have good pictures, writing good descriptions and filling in IS.
3. Just to sell the stuff I have. I am a hobby seller just selling personal items for extra money.
4. Nope.
5. I don't use promoted listings. I don't see the value in it because there aren't that many things in my category so I don't have a huge amount of competition and I tend to ignore promoted listings when I shop.

My sales are non-existent and have been for the past year. I see some blaming the sellers but it is factually eBay. It's like they flipped a switch to the off position. I suggest to everyone who sells on eBay and is subject to their greedy wrath to get out before it's too late. At least that's what I'm doing.
I used to sell a modest 200 items a month. Now I am lucky if I sell 25. Nothing to do with what I'm selling, nothing to do with my resonable prices...process of elimination states it has everything to do with eBay's greed.
What I find fascinating, they haven't even spoken about it either. Not sure why they wouldn't want things to sell. Then I discovered, forced to promote listing, clothing is an additional 10% and stuff still doesn't sell.
I'm factoring myself out of their greedy equations!

My Nov. sales were okay but began to really increase towards the end of the month . Now its December and they've really taken off . I've noticed they come in bunches though . Seems when one person buys something it puts out good karma/ vibes or something and more sales follow . I'm pretty sure the promotions are helping but so does adding new listings everyday . Since I make themed jewelry its a challenge at times coming up with new ideas in keeping with the latest trends . I'm about through adding Christmas themed stuff and now I'm looking ahead to Valentines day , St. Patrick's day and even Easter . I'd really hate to see the counter feature go too so I hope they think about that idea a little more . Tulips

Nov 2018 up 62% over Oct 2018, but down 20% from Nov 2017. However I expected the lower sales with the significant increase in shipping cost for 2lb+ items that don't fit in flat rate boxes (70% of my sales last year are in that group).
No real changes other than Christmas decorating season is here.
Future: Continue to move my inventory off to other venues since eBay has decided to punish sellers at every turn and not fix the majority of the system issues. The blues know my views, hasn't seemed to make a difference in my sales.
Promoted listings don't work for me, I run a couple campaigns but they don't have a noticable effect.
