Hahahahah. I had to laugh because no wonder your sales are fine. You are a big time seller with thousands of lovely, brand new sporty items. We are not in the same league, I am small seller selling mainly used. But I got a kick out of your response

HA! Okay you've charmed me into saying more. TBH, though I think regardless of size and volume, the time of year around income tax tends to always be a low sales period for a huge percentage of sellers. If I can recall, it doesn't really significantly ramp up until around Fall.

With exception to Spring/Summer seasonal items... many items (even non-season specific) always perform much better near the end of the year. Some businesses rely on the profits of those months to get by the rest of the year.

All of one huh?

OP - it's usually much busier this time of year for many sellers as people have received their tax refunds and are gearing up for summer, vacations and being outdoors. Some people were shocked this year that they didn't get what they expected in their tax refunds. Due to the GTC debacle - many sellers - who are also buyers - have cut back buying on Ebay.

My sales on other venues has improved - my sales on Ebay are lower than the previous yr.

Yes all of ( 1 ). And that seems to bother you for some odd reason ??? I answered the question ! I just looked and since JANUARY 2019 I have sold ( 168 items ) and it could be more than you could even comprehend if I chose !! Since I can't see what you sell I can't say one way or the other about your sales !! I will make you happy today and list another !! Nothing Special but Very Nice !! And Without a Doubt Watch it Sell and I Make Roughly a 50% Profit in 10 days !! Good Luck

I got an $1100. Return request.  I immediately told him send it back for full refund

which he said he did on Monday.  He didn’t involve eBay at all to my knowledge.

When I receive back the ring how to best Proceed?

1) Go to PayPal to refund him there or 2) do some things to refund on eBay.

It still is early enough hopefully to receive the full commission back from

PayPal and eBay as before.

Side note.  He asked about 20-30 or more questions so I did know he was quite

unstable about the purchase.

While my sales are typically slow from Good Friday through Easter Sunday - this is the first time that they have been non-existent.  Four accounts - 800 listings (thanks to the free listing promo 4/19-4/23)  - and only one sale in the past 10 days.   March 2019 was the worst March in 19 years, and barring a lot of sales in the remaining week April 2019 will follow suit.

I did very well at the start of April  with about 12 sales over the first weekend . However after that it dropped to only  about 3 to 4 sales a week . I did see a slight jump when I lowered prices to almost rock bottom  and switched back to adding international selling  again. So far just that has given me two extra sales to buyers outside the U.S . My  data page says my selling  rate has gone up 47 % compared to last year at this time  so I guess  there's been some improvement although it really doesn't seem like it. Hopefully sales will begin to pick up for everyone . 🙂  Tulips

Being a retired number cruncher - I've always kept my own statistics, and have never been able to come up with the same "data" eBay publishes.

executioner4you - To say your posts are arrogant would be an understatement. I don't know your source for the pocket knifes, but you seem to have a good source for a very niche market. If others find a similar source and prices are driven down, you may feel other people pain. I doubt you are some online marketing genius, so enough with you on your high horse.

A little better.  Up quite a bit over the last 7 days.  I honestly don't put much effort into Ebay anymore.
