How To Change Store Name (URL)

How do I change my store's URL? I've changed the store name however the old name is still in the website.

@coolbreeze804 The URL should match the store name.  How long ago did you change the name of your store?  ... Maybe it just needs a little time to sync.  Also, have you tried rebooting your computer and see if that makes  a difference?

OK I know this is an old thread, but in case anyone else is still having trouble with this...

The URL won't change on it's own if you're using the new store format. I had the same issue and ended up gettig some help, this worked for me:

I reverted to the old store format.  I then choose to manage my store.

I then selected Display settings on the left menu.

I clicked the change link on the righ side of the Basic Information header.  There - I changed the store name and saved.  The url updated with the new store name.

To go back to the new store format go to http://www.pages.ebay.com/storefronts/update/

Click on the Preview Button and then on the Publish Button.

P.S. When you revert to the old store the name will go back to the old one (the one matching your URL) and it will look like you have lost any recent changes. Don't change anything except for the name, when you go back to the new format you get all your changes back.

The store name is changed and showing but on my listings, it STILL has the old store name....down in the box in the listing where it says "sign up for newsletter" and to the right of that big box it says "view sellers store"....the old name is still there but when you click on it, it takes you to the new store.  I want the new store name in that box, not the old one....can you help me with that one?  Thank  you so much....I am so frustrated!

You also have to revert to the old store layout so you can change the store logo on the listing frame, then change back to the new layout and update your settings again.

Thank you so much! It worked! Their FAQ stated a url could not be changed, but the method of reverting to the old store worked!

I'm wondering.....If one changes their store name and url will they lose all their followers?

This worked for me and at first after I hit save it said something like 'oops we can't find that' i closed out that tab and went back to my regular store in the new eBay mode, and my url was updated. I did not lose any store followers.

I tried following along with exactly what you did but once I converted back to the old store, and entered my new name that I wanted, it said I cannot have the same store name as someone else... although that is my only store, it let me change my store name in the 'new store' area. Maybe I should have left the store name alone in the 'new store' and changed it in the 'old store' first then went to the 'new store' to try and change it there after.

I did exactly as you said and it worked!  I now have the correct URL associated with my store.  Very convoluted way to make this happen, but it worked.
