Please keep in mind that you will still be held to whatever monthly listing limits you currently have.

Being a new seller, you won't be able to list enough items monthly to make a store subscription worth it.
Stick with the free 250 starting out.

You do not need a store subscription to sell on eBay. Store subscriptions are appropriate for sellers who are experienced and have plenty of sales. As noted in another post, a new seller will have listing limits which would make a store not cost efficient:
