I've been a Seller on Ebay since 2005. I've gone through periods of being a Top Rated Seller, to listing much less, due to lack of supply or spare time. I retired last year and I'm getting back up to selling again.
How can I stop Ebay from adding "Offers" on my Buy It Now listings?
I spend hours doing listings (from photos to text) to get them set up as "Buy It Now" and within 48 hours, Ebay switches them to "Offers." I have to spend more time revising my listings as I originally posted them! Bad enough they took away the ability to do creative listings, use GIFs or even have colored text. I sold much more when I could do interesting listings!!
When doing Listings, they ask for my Feedback, which I have given 3-4 times, asking them to STOP changing my listings to allow "Offers." It does no good.
Is there a way to make Ebay STOP doing this?? Or just bite the bullet?

Are saying your BUY IT NOW listings changed to BUY IT NOW or BEST OFFER? When I look at your listings I only see BUY IT NOW shown. You could be getting offers when customer uses the method shown below.
All EBAY listings allow customers to click CONTACT SELLER, MAKE AN OFFER (whether you agree to accept offers or not). This is just EBAY policy and cannot be changed.

You don't see OBO since the OP revised the listings.
In answer to your question... no, I don't think you can keep it from happening. Just stay diligent. Good luck.

Are you saying that ALL your listings are Buy It Nows and now has "Make an Offer" added afterwards?
There a glitch that has been going on for some time that some of the listings would all of sudden have added "Make an Offer".
When I was selling here, I would get an offer and to find out that a listing was change to include "Make an Offer".
I got into a habit and checking my listings and would find a 1-5 listings changed.

This issue has been reported on dot ca numerous times. Causing very many unhappy sellers. It is something ebay will do with no rhyme or reason. It could be a listing that is old and had no traffic. In eBay's eyes it generates business. In the sellers eyes its cutting into any profit they may have had if something sells. Never hurts to double check your settings. You can also monitor your listings or tweak by manually adding the minimum you will accept. It is very frustrating when it's basically something being done behind your back. Only other suggestion is bring it up with eBay CS. The more reports the better the chance it could stop happening.

PS. What others have suggested is adding a best offer to a small assortment of listings. Might take you off the list for it happening to your other listings. Sell 20.00. Best offer. 19.00 as an example.

Ebay will add Best Offer to smaller sellers who do not list as regularly. Try using the Advanced listing form and not the Quick form in the app. You will have to use a lap top to list with the Advanced form. Doing this is not foolproof suggestion to cure the problem, but as you get into the swing of things and begin to list more items more often, eBay may be less inclined to add BO behind your back. I had the same problem at one time. But no longer.

You can use eBay's mania for "Best Offers" to your advantage, whether you list with auction or BIN. In the Selling Details section of the listing form click on the Best Offer click box. Just below that you will see two click boxes marked "Automatically accept offers of at least" and "Automatically decline offers lower than". Click both these boxes and enter your lowest acceptable price in both. If a buyer makes a lowball offer, it gets automatically rejected and you will never get a notice or email. If the buyer makes an offer equal or higher than your lowest price, it will get accepted and the item will close the same way as if the buyer did a BIN. And you don't have to be bothered with all the back-and-forth offers and eBay can't sneak in a BO without your knowledge. You might even get lucky as has happened to me now and then and the BO will be above your lowest price. I list auctions only but it works fine for me. It still can't stop nagging emails from problematic buyers, but that's what your BBL is for.

On a daily basis I get stupid offers thru the message system. Its relentless- I reply back if I wanted offers I would have added it to the listing ( but most buyers don't have a clue to my response). Ebay goes above and beyond to allow **bleep** like this to happen. I have selected feature like no overseas buyers & they still come thru. So many things are over rode by ebay on the sellers.

This really annoying tactic from eBay used to get me very upset. But now I fight back. I believe I have come up with a strategy to get eBay to stop doing this for good. But the success of this strategy will require the cooperation of other sellers who are annoyed by this as well.
My strategy is as follows -- everytime eBay changes my listings to accept offers, I end those particular listings. And I KEEP them ended for a period of time (say, for a week or two) before relisting them. What this basically does is put eBay out of commission. After all, the reason eBay changes our listings to accept offers is because they want us to make a quick sale (not caring whether or not we make a profit), so they can collect their fees. Think of it as putting eBay in a temporary penalty box.
I'm just one seller, so this has very little impact to eBay's bottom line. But imagine if every seller did this. Now that would definitely affect their bottom line. Maybe then they will listen to the sellers and stop changing our listings without consent. The more sellers who participate, the more effective this strategy. Spread the word!

Ummmm, think a rolled-up newspaper would help? 🙄

Haven't sold on eBay for years, but just have to ask: Do you think "cut off your nose to spite your face" policy is the best approach?
Furthermore, offers CAN be ignored, right? Especially since the decision to add "Make An Offer" was not the seller's?

If you want to stop the auto best offers, you have to use the advanced listing form (business tool). https://bulksell.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SingleList

I don't believe these changes are happening AFTER you make the listing. I believe they happen WHEN you make the listing. But that's a whole nother debate/discussion.
I believe that when you are CREATING A NEW LISTING it will sometimes default to accept offers and if you don't catch it you will have a listing that accepts offers.
I went through this a couple of times. The remedy is to be careful and double check your listing/settings before you enter them.
Good luck and stay safe.

Greed ! E Bay does not give a **bleep** about the sellers , ' make offer 'added to my listings as well without my consent ... So you don't catch it when you relist , sometimes sellers might accept an offer , E Bay makes a bit more .. causes a nightmare for most sellers but hey as long as E Bay makes more $ .
