Every time a buyer tries to add items to their shopping cart from my store it says "The Item you've selected was not added to your cart" . Is this something on my end I have to activate in order for them to use it? Thanks for your time.

I had no difficulty adding two of your items to my cart; one by opening the item from your "items for sale" list, and the other from opening your item from inside your store. Both went right into the cart without any errors.
Is your potential buyer new, or from a region you do not ship to or accept payments from? Is it possible your potential buyer is disqualified for some other reason?
Although the following is an old thread and things may have changed, there are some indications that a similar message relates to the buyer not meeting the seller's requirements:

So it does work huh? That’s interesting. The buyer was not new and didn’t have any restrictions from what I saw. My next question is this then because maybe this is the problem. Each additional item for the two you added is .50 extra shipping. So the first one would be $3.25 and then every one after that is only .50. In your cart it charged you twice at $3.25. Is there anyway I can set it up so it does it this way? Thank you so much for your help.

I believe that the fifty cent shipping kicks in only if I add more than one of the same item. Each separate item will begin with the $3.25 base shipping charge (or whatever you have set for that particular item).
Not sure how (or even if there is a way) to set things up to automatically charge the way you intend; but I am not a seller. Perhaps another seller who is more familiar with the options can make a suggestion.

Thanks for your help. Yeah if it’s multiple of the same item it works. But I want it to work if it’s any of the lots of cards that I offer it on. Thanks for helping me. Really appreciated.

I think what you are trying to accomplish can be done by going to Site Preferences. About a third of the page down you will see Shipping Preferences, click on that. On this page you are able to set up combined payments, which will allow you to to create the rules for the combined shipping discounts you want by clicking on "edit".
Once you have it set up the way you would like, you will be able to check the boxes that apply on the actual listing form. For listings that are already active, you can edit those to apply the rules you have created.
It was a confusing to me when I first tried to set it up, but it works great once you have it in place.
The first screen shot shows what you will see when you open the Shipping Preferences. The second screen shot shows the boxes that can be checked on the listing form.
I hope this helps.

I really appreciate the help and I think I did it. Do you think you can try it out for me? Add a few of the “Complete Your Set Lots” to your cart and check? Thank you so much

Sorry, it does not look like it worked. A few things to check...did you set up combined payments? did you set up flat shipping rules? did you check or edit the boxes in the actual listings?
Here are a few screenshots for reference.

Shoot, it still is not right.
Try this if, you haven't already. Open, like you are going to revise, one of the listings you want the discounts to be applied to. Look at the shipping details. I am attaching a screenshot of one of my listings.
I offer $2.75 shipping for the first item and free for each additional item...that is my flat rate shipping rule. Box checked.
I also offer free shipping for 6 or more purchased...that is my promotional rule. Box checked. You don't need to do this if you did not set up promotional rule.
I hope this helps.

I bulk edited all my listings do that feature. I hope it worked now. But when I bulk edited it didn't edit like 70 something listings because they said I need higher resolution photos and wouldn't submit my changes to those listings. I am not going to go through and update all the older pictures as they are older stock images from the internet because they are older sports card products. Unbeliabvly annoying lol. I think a majority are updated to my shipping feature though. Thanks for your time. I hope it worked.

Wow thanks so much for the help! Thank god. Idk how anyone figured this out on their own. Crazy.
No problem at all. I am glad it finally worked for you, I know it was frustrating. It took me quite a few tries, too, when I was trying to set mine up.
