So i'll be off for 3 weeks this summer, i will put my shop to holiday for this time, and will hide all my listings. The question is: What happens if someone has watches an item/saved a bookmark? They will still find it i think and can buy it, and i don't want to get late delivery strikes on my account.
Now i can check the messages while i'm away, and contact those buyers that i can only ship later, but that is still only half a solution as ebay puts a late delivery on items automatically based on the couriers information. So even if the buyers says he is fine with waiting, i will have problem.
Is there any better option apart from contacting every possible buyer and telling them we need to cancel the transaction?
I don't want to remove my listings and relist them when i get back, that would be a lot of work.

I am sure others will come along and correct me if I am wrong but I know for sure you can Edit all listings in mass change the handling time and your ad will show your handling time delay (I am pretty sure store vacation settings already do this for you as well). I think your good with store vacation settings and if you want to be extra safe to mail the buyers and set handling time longer.

Hmm it seems the hiding items option now blocks purchases as well, so it seems my problem is solved as i only have BIN items listed

The only concern I can forsee is if you had an offer outstanding that had your original handling time before going on vacation.

If you turn on Vacation settings and hide listings you will not sell anything, doesn't matter if buyers can find them via a watchlist, bookmark or any other method.
Of course this applies to Fixed Price only.
