Here's a new one-same item-duplicate listing-same item number!

Here's a new one!  Saw a Seller with two identical items listed.  Sent him a message that he had double listed the same item.  He responded that there were, in fact, two listings for the same item........both had the same item number.  Technically it seems that would be impossible.  He tried to delete one of the listings, but was blocked from doing so (error message).  When he refreshed his screen one of the items disappeared.  He called Customer Service and was told there was no way that could happen.

If it were a "promoted" listing it would show up twice with the same #, but beyond that, 2 listings should not show the same #, ........  but

I'e had one where I listed an item and when it came up at the end screen (where it says your item is listed) after it went live, the title was there twice with 2 different item #s

It was an ebay glitch as I couldn't even do that if I wanted to.

Agreed. But have you noticed in some categories of multiple listings and sponsored listings of the same Item by different sellers close proximity addy when you list your similar item, It's like 3 pages back in listing. I believe if one does the math say like collectible sellers like me, when all is said and done lol not much profit was made and not worth it. Tried it once, wont again lol . One thing I have learned here as a past direct seller, Folks don't let 1 venue be your only source of income. Just because i pay for a store. Get alittle savvvy. !. I will open my WWW.com shortly. FB and others Have their platforms, use them. "crosspost" The best thing you can do if merchandise wont move, I move it right to consignment. Turn it over! Don't wait for someone to do it for you. Whats it worth to ya! An hour ago I received my community board survey. Told the truth. To many sad sellers here lately. My advice, get more duckies in your row!! My warmest regards to all of you!!
