Hi all. Thank you for reading this. I found a vintage jacket and think it *might* be Chanel. It only has one tag but has a chain weighted hem. Does this look familiar to anyone? Thankful for any help I can get.

It is a solid 80s, quality high end piece - but probably not Chanel - they use logo buttons. Check the back of the buttons for a brand, maybe the designer, that might help. Also check the side seams and pockets for a label or hint of who it might be from.
Hard to tell if the label has been removed, if so it will be a hard sell. I have learned over the years that buyers want a designer name for the items they buy. Without it, you will be lucky if it comes up in search results.
And you can NOT use a designer name if you can not show it really is that designer on ebay, they will pull the listing and violate you. if you use a designer name to keyword spam the item.

Hi, i ran across this article in the Fashion Guild's forums. It might be of use to you, discusses how to spot a genuine Chanel jacket. Here's the link:

This one is also helpful:

It is a possibility that the former owner of the jacket replaced the buttons (not likely but still possible). I don't think I've ever seen a replica that had the hidden chain weights also. But I am far from an expert. Good luck to you in your quest!

I have more than a few high end clothing items with chain weights; Chanel is not the only brand to use them.
As far as fake Chanel items, I have no idea if anyone goes to the trouble/expense to add chain weights.

Just wanted to add to rose's statement.
Chanel is a very active VeRO member. If you even hint that it is Chanel and it isn't, then they will pull the listing and you will get the violation.
