Help and Support doesn't help

I put in the wrong description and fixed it after one day. Got a bidder on the third day and seen the old description back.

Spoke with two eBay people on the phone and got nothing. I waited for a transfer to another department and got hung up on. Then the second call I got the "just tell the bidders that there was a mistake in the listing description."

They did not remove my listing. They didn't change my description for me. And they think all people will understand without giving a negative review.

They will let the Chinese sellers get away with almost everything. Any WW2 items with the blurred swastika on it eBay ignores. I tried the same thing and it gets taken down.

Did you remove the 1 bidder and fix the listing again?

CS cannot access or change your listings.

You can't just fill out a new description to change it.  The whole listing has to be submitted again at the bottom of the page.  It's too late now if there is a bid, even eBay can't change it.  They aren't going to remove your listing for your error.   You can end it yourself but not without repercussions.

Why do you think Ebay would remove the listing or change your description, that's your job.

Have a great day.

You can't change descriptions when you use the auction format-all you can do is add a note. For your question on swastikas, some items are allowed but most are not. Here is a link to the ebay policy:

Per eBay policy cancelling a bid, and then ending a listing "may" (often does) result in the FVF being charged at the amount of the cancelled bid.

?????

Does eBay allow revisions under such circumstances???? Revise after cancelling a bid.

I have read that it is no.

Reason. I see the listing with a bid, wait until the last 3 seconds to bid without going back to look (know I should),................................  I win, and whoopsie............  the listing has been changed.

Then again, I could have just dreamed all this up, but almost certain that I have seen it posted that it can not be done.

Imagine the rant had eBay ended the listing per their request and they were charged.

Imagine the rant when they are told to just cancel and end and are charged after doing as suggested.
