I have never used the second chance offer system before and I wanted to see if someone could answer question I have.
I had an auction end recently. A lot of bidding going on. In the last hour. It ended and 10 minutes later says they purchased by mistake and wants to cancel. I of course accept because the end result is the either don't pay for it and I have to cancel and relist anyway, or they do pay for it and leave negative review or do a bogus return case. Normally I would just relist but the item was bid up more than I thought it was so I thought I would give the second chance offer system a try.
I see multiple bidders I can choose to send second chance offers to. My question is if I send it to three bidders, and one accepts it, are the other two offer automatically cancelled. Alternatively, should I only send one second chance offer at a time and wait for it to expire before I sent the next. The offer amount ranges of course between the bidders, and while I would like the highest to accept, the item was bid up more than I expected so I would be fine if one of the lower ones was quicker on the trigger. Thank you!

No, the other two are not cancelled. Do not do that; it may not end well. Each offer is independent of the others, so if you don't have three identical items to sell, don't send three Second Chance Offers at the same time. As soon as the first one expires (give it 24 hours at most), you can send the next one, and so on.

Send them all and ship to the first one who accepts and pays.
If Immediate Payment Required is possible, use it.
Many buyers are suspicious of Second Chance offers, so finding a buyer is not as easy as you might think.
You could also put the item up at the selling price, as Fixed Price/Immediate Payment Required and notify the high bidders that it is available, and tell them why.
That information should not be in the FP listing of course.

Thanks, that was really helpful! Appreciate the input from both of you on this!
