What kind (or style) of basket is this? I picked it up at an estate sale just to carry some smaller items and was about to donate it when my said not so fast. Then we noticed one just like it on a BBC show (Call the Midwife) which has some pretty authentic 1960's vintage props, so I assume it's from the 60's or thereabouts. It's about 12" in length.

It's really just a mid century basket for breads or fruits.
I found one on the bay like yours
to view.

Vintage items like wood baskets are not really worth much.

I've seen them called slat baskets and stick baskets, made as they are out of individual pieces of wood and not woven in any way.

I have always loved baskets and have some from my grandparents. You are correct, the value is very low and a bummer considering how much I paid at the time of purchase...lol...
No longer on my radar to resell.

Thanks for the info, never thought about woven versus non-woven. I trend toward the woven. Again, thanks!
