Help! Buyer wants to make multiple purchases, but two items come up as pay now, instead of commit

I have been working with a buyer for several hours on multiple purchases.  Walked her through the process of hitting buy it now, but not paying when the payment screen comes up.  She managed to get two items trough, and she says the other two are wanting payment now, instead of commitment to buy.  She claims it automatically purchases when she hit this payment now option for the very first item she purchased.  I do not have immediate payment on the listings, so don't know what to advise her.

Any advice from the experts??  I have never had issues with multiple purchases before waiting for a combined invoice.  Why would two items wait for payment and two won't??

Its been a problem for several years so my "fix" is simple if time consuming.

A. Let her flat buy the things she wants that are as yet uncommitted to. Discount the shipping (and or price) of the other things as yet unpaid for to reflect the overall deal you gave her.

Or.

B. Create a custome bundle listing just for her, with the remainder of the total, remainder of items unpurchased listed in description , and "usernameofmynewcustomer bundle only do not buy" as the title.

Techies are messy but sellers gonna sell

I just had the same problem.  Wanted to make multiple purchases, so seller said to wait for an invoice.

But when I hit buy it now the listing would not end until I paid.  Because it was a highly wanted item for collectors in my category, I had to buy and pay separately for each item.  The seller said he would refund the over payment.

I thought ebay  put buy it now on items under a certain amount because  this has happened to me often.  With multiples I have to pay as I go.

Did the buyer try adding the items to their cart instead of clicking on buy it now?  Then they should be able to request a total —link is on the top right of the cart. This solution does not work all the time but it’s worth a try.

A while ago eBay changed things so that items under $1000 have ipr even if the seller hasn’t specified it, but as you’ve seen, that isn’t consistent either.
