Ebay is simplifying express payout fees. Beginning July 1st each express payout
will have a $2.00 fee.
Thankfully I do not use express payouts.
Some of my items sell for 2-5 dollars.

I don't think we need a heads up since that announcement is posted in every sellers Financial Summary .
I don't subscribe to Express Payouts so it doesn't affect me at all. I use On Demand payouts, it maybe a little slower, but its free.

I saw it. They say it's "simplifying" it. It is not "simplifying" it.......it is raising the fee they collect for using it. It's still same just a higher price for people who use it.

It's not clear to me why anyone needs Express Payouts except for a dire emergency. I'm on weekly payouts but if I do an On Demand payout I will have the money in my bank account within 24 hours (usually less), paying extra to get it a few hours earlier doesn't make any sense unless you have a true extreme emergency in which case a $2 fee is a better option than a payday loan joint.

Can you Use Other People's Money? Make a purchase with a credit card, get 30 days to pay that back and avoid the $2.00 fee altogether. Your eventual goal as a consumer and a business person should be to operate without paying fees and interest. Then you can spend all of your money yourself rather than paying a percentage to someone else.

I don't see how anyone can defend this. $2 is outrageous for something that was always a nominal fee ($0.25). What’s next, $5 listing fees?
