Have moved to another country - how to sell in local currency?

Hello,

Following my move from the UK to Belgium I have updated all addresses to a Belgian one (Registration, Delivery, Dispatch). However when I list new item for sale, international delivery options include Royal Mail but not Bpost as available delivery service. Moreover I cannot successfuly change selling currency from GBP to EUR. I have changed billing currency to EUR but any new listing I am creating is still in GBP. I would like my customers be able to buy items in EUR.
What needs to be done so I can sell in EUR and have correct shipping options from Belgium? Does my account need to be moved to ebay.be?

Regards,

Mario

This is eBay US, but I think you would have to move your account to eBay.be as country currency/postal services and the like is a default of country location.

Hell is empty. And all the devils are here.

You need to register and list your items on eBay Belgium.

If you list on the UK site you have to list in GBP.  You can list in Euros on one of the European sites. To use calculated shipping you will probably have to list on the .be site as most sites usually have calculated shipping only for that country’s postal services.

Currency and postal services are based on the listing site, not on the seller’s registration site or location.  If I list on.ca I have to list in $C and on .com in $US.

Just login to https://ebay.be

Choose your language

Double check your account info to make sure it is correct for Belgium.

List your items.

I chose French because my French is much better than my Dutch 😉

You can ask eBay to move your account from UK eBay to BE eBay  - only they can do that, it's not self-service.

That also means all your eBay messages/correspondence will be in the site language (not English), if that's okay.

You have to contact eBay support directly to make the change.

There's a "Chat with us" link at the bottom of this UK Help page

If they do want to change their registration info, they can do so without contacting without contacting eBay support.

@pjcdn2005  - that is only for changing the user's registered address/country, not the eBay site that their account is registered on. Only eBay can change the Site registration. They are separate issues.

Perhaps you’re right but regardless of which site or country they are registered on the problems they mentioned in the op won’t be solved if they are listing on the UK site.  The only way to list in Euros is on a European site and the only place they will see Belgian post options is on the Belgian site. Regardless of their registered location or which site they are registered on, they have to list on .be to use calculated shipping and to show options using Belgian shipping services.
