Handling time function could use serious improvement!

Howdy all.....just wanted to let off some steam about handling times.  I've got the "2 day" designated, but what I find especially irritating is when an item sells at 11:50 p.m....(say on a Monday night), that TEN MINUTES left of Monday counts as one of my handling days!  I find this very unfair, it's not anything close to a day, but mere moments, and I realize Ebay won't make any changes as they really want to you to ship within 5 minutes of the sale, ha ha.  But what would be reasonable (in my book) would have a cut-off time, say 5 p.m., since they are counting these days as "business" days, then business should have a closing time.  I don't like waking up to see the sale and have had already lost an entire day of handling!!

What do you all think?  Legit beef, or "get over it!" ??

Purchase at 11:50pm on Monday, Tuesday is day one,  Wednesday is day two, you need to ship by 11:59pm on Wednesday.

The day of the sale does not count as a handling day, if it did you would only have ten minutes to meet 1 day handling.

I would say "that's not how it works" rather than "get over it".

Somewhere once upon a time I remember being able to alter a setting wherein sales after a certain time of day would be counted as next day's business.  I set it absurdly early, like noon.

I don't know if it's still a thing.

One day handling does work that way. Sell 11:50 Sunday must ship out Monday. Purchased 11:50 Tuesday must ship on Wednesday. This is not one day handling its next day handling. For me purchasing on non business days counts toward my 1 day handling time. Happened this weekend. Purchased on Sunday must ship on Monday.

Ebay development team probably found that feature way to beneficial for sellers, therefore, it went away.
