HI! What is " active content"?

HI! 

I have called many times & each rep does not know the answer. Maybe someone here will know. What does the following mean?  

"We found the following active content in your listing: forms. To make eBay a more secure marketplace, we hide all active content from buyers." 

There is a link also  included & that does not help me.

Active content can be a multitude of things, but when it comes to ebay, it is usually some "code" being inserted into a form input. Usually it is java based, or simply css or html requiring some input.

Active content needs to be blocked from descriptions, so sellers don't inadvertently copy & paste malicious code into a form.

(this is a simple answer, it is more complicated than this)

JAVASCRIPT, flash and interactive videos would be active content.

What is the item?

Did you copy any information from another site and paste it in the description?

Sometimes that'll enter extra code that Ebay picks up.

1 of the reps did mention Java to me. He looked & could find nothing though. My listing will not be taken down they said. Do you think that is true? Thanks for helping me!

Hmm this stuff happens with the cut and past thing: try doing such first in say note pad:

A  link has been given you by  pburn as well, use it to see if you can find were it is embedded... 

Also such can be added by software you may also have on your system...

It is spotted and it will be removed or blocked from listing.
