H and R BLOCK online users, which level of taxes do you use? Deluxe, premium, or self employed?
Thank you!

After I learned from my accountant, I ended up using the Premium Edition from H&R Block....
It is good for my needs (Sch C, SE and 1099 capability), as well as my wife (W-2 and 401K) and mother-in-law (Pension Fund 1099-R)....LOL
Comes with one state and free Fed Filing

Thank you! Do you do any home office/ home storage area deductions? Where can I find more information about what to deduct?

I used the deluxe which covered everything I need from the schedule C to all other income sources. I don't take the home/office/storage deductions since I am not that large of a seller and the space I use within my home is minimal.

If you want to push deductions to the legal limits allowed under the IRS, it would be best to consult with a CPA or Tax Attorney instead of asking the person sitting on the local park bench. Also, out of the box tax software does not know your true financial situation and is only as good as the numbers you put in. They are fine when you understand what is legally deductible. They have to cover many different scenarios, so they ask generic questions without knowing what is actual. Many people assume they can deduct this or that since the software asked if they have those types of expenses.
