Guaranteed Fit - How do I know if buyers are using this feature for my listings? Auto Parts

4 return requests today and I only sell an average of 1 item per day.  2 'ordered by mistake', and 2 were a simple case of the buyer Not reading the listing, looking at pictures, or description.  Are people seeing guaranteed fit and then not bothering to read the description??

It seems my return rate has gone up considerably since this program came into effect.  I don't think I'm participating in it because I don't fill out any sort of compatibility chart.  I use my descriptions to do that because I DON"T TRUST the chart because of all the different options on these cars.  January 2024 was horrible.  I think I returned more than I sold.  Constant 'item does not fit', or 'ordered by mistake', or based on messages I find out they flat-out must not have read ANY of the description.  I spend hours listing descriptions and it's frustrating that VERY FEW buyers are reading them.  What's the Deal ?

All this money spent on 'free shipping'.  Do I have to charge shipping and then maybe people will read listings?

Yet another reason I don't use free shipping. It's not free, and I think having to pay shipping might get people to look a little further.

Also, I'm not sure if this is the case in eBay Motors (I haven't sold there in ages) but in eBay "Regular" there is now a pop-up for 'quick look' that comes up when someone views a listing - it doesn't even have a description, much less any kind of fitment chart. It might be OK for commodities sold anywhere like Amazon (it's copied from mass marketing sites) but lousy for selling pre-owned or unusual anything, which is my area.

Hell is empty. And all the devils are here.
