Group similar items-Catagories Pre-Grouped-Sales Down

I am frustrated with the new group similar listing feature. Not the fact that you can group similar listings, I understand that and that should be an option. The part where I am frustrated with is when you shop by catagory items show up already grouped and at the left it shows a limited amount of listings, at the right top it gives you the option to UN-Group, and when you click that you will see all listings.  This is showing buyers who shop by catagory instead of top search bar for a specific item minimal views.  If you are a seller for instance go to one of your listings and at the top click on the catagory you are listed in, when it shows up you will see you have to click ungroup to see all the items in that catagory.  This is slowing sales for some as alot of people search by catagory and not specific item.

It has reverted back a couple of times to where it is not grouped, but keeps going back to having catagories set as grouped. I Hope they fix the glitch, so many customers shop by catagory.

As a buyer I am looing for somewhere to vent how much I dislike the default to group similar items. I check ebay each night in my collector's category and I set the search to new listings and I look through new listings each night. Why would I want to see new listings grouped my similar items, effectively not at all showing new listings first? Makes no sense. I don't like having to uncheck group similar items --- seems to silly this would be able to work with "Sort by new listings" selected.
