So I sent these off june 2nd to France from the US. I received a message 2 days ago asking where are my 2 items? Tracking showed multiple attempts to get the buyer to pick them up so I forwarded that to him. Today I get a message from Ebay saying "congrats your package was delivered" so I go look at the tracking again and it shows "return to sender" Mass confusion to say the least. My question is will the items be returned to me or will they go to some misfit package warehouse in France? also I've sent this same guy 8 packages prior to these with zero issue.

Were they sent via ebay's EIS?
If so, I wouldn't worry about it.
Once the package gets to ebay's US hub, it's no longer your responsibility.

Looking at the tracking info it definitely looks like a GSP / Pitney Bowes shipment not EIS.
I have never used GSP and don't know how they treat Return To Sender. I'm fairly confident that the return address on the package will be PB and not the seller.

They were sent via Ebays Global Shipping Program. I would not mind getting them back as they are very rare and valuable. I would have no problem reselling but I don't want to get stuck with the return shipping fee.

Under GSP (now EIS) if the package is returned, it goes to ebay.
Ebay deals with the buyer.
You already got paid, so again, no real reason for concern.

Update: Received this in my Inbox this morning. So much for the "worry free international shipping" program. Not Happy and I did file an Appeal.

This would make for a better advertisement for EIS.

What was the result of your appeal? I had horrible experiences in the past with the former eBay Global Shipping ( items being repackaged & items missing or broken) I would not sign up for EIS. At least once a week I receive a message from eBay asking me to sign up and giving me incentives. I have happily used Pirateship (and their special international export rate -- much cheaper that eBay) for the past 3 yrs. Had 1 hiccup but Pirateship through Asendia caught it before I did and took care of the issue AND refunded my shipping. There is always a human to speak with and they actually take care of their customers. I hope you win your appeal and am sorry for all the time you spent and grief endure for all this nonsense!

Good News!!! I guess an Actual Human looked at my appeal. Thought for sure I would be screwed as usual.

I unknowingly had been working with a customer all weekend on an international sale. The shipping cart just wouldn't work. Thought perhaps he was just doing it wrong but unbeknownst to me (after calling Customer Service) I now know what is going on. You can only sell one item at a time internationally. Now I don't know about any of you but few international customer are going to want to buy one thing at a time. Don't know the reason for all this but it's going to hurt sales.

Huh? I have sold multiple Items to international buyers at the same time through the EIS program. France, Canada and Mexico all on the same day to be exact. Customer service reps have a tendency to **bleep** sellers just to get rid of you. I had another issue last week and she straight up lied to me.

Excellent news @wormdrive66 . Thanks for posting the update.
The initial decision was not handled correctly. Shouldn't have been found against you in the first place. You had eBay policy backing you up on the appeal and it's good to see eBay stand by that.

Combined shipping has always had a number of glitches for both international as well as domestic sales. Without listing all of those I have had to work with buyers on numerous occasions to create custom bundles/packages that combine all the items the buyers is wanting into a single listing.
If you are using the EIS program, which it appears you are not, that program, like it's GSP predecessor does not allow for combined shipping although eBay is supposed to be working on that capability.

I guess he wasn't clear about the combined shipping option for EIS. Yes you are correct and I do custom bundles for International buyers also. Kind of a pain but I have sold a ton of dead inventory to foreign buyers at full price.
