Hi Everyone,

I sold my first item through the Global Shipping Program this week (Item 264702129891)

I received the email that " Congratulations! You've sold your item through the Global Shipping Program."

The buyer reached out to me and said that when he goes to pay, it gives him a message that he needs to contact the seller. It seems I cannot due anything under GSP so I contacted eBay and they said they see no issues on my end and to have the buyer to reach out to eBay support.

The buyer reached out to ebay support and said he was told the following: " I have been told that you have not specified a shipping value amount for Spain. If you don't do this, I won't be able to make the payment."

I reached out to ebay support again and they said for my items GSP only ships to "Maldives and Reunion". I had someone from GSP reach out to me and said the following:

My name is Sarah with the Global Shipping Program (GSP), and I do apologize that this has cause such concern. I would be more than happy to investigate this with you today.

After reviewing the transaction closer I want to inform you that due to the national crisis that is currently ongoing our shipping partners need to abide by all customs laws and shipping regulations with carriers with current issues happening. These situations are never our intention and restrictions like this are also rare as we try to proactively block potentially ineligible items from being listed through the program.

I don't understand how this could be accurate as there are many other postings in the same category (and even identical items) that are shipping to Spain and other countries via GSP. Also, why would the buyer be allowed to bid on my item via GSP if they couldn't ship there?

I tried re-listing the item per ebay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/264711382308#shpCntId) and notice it has the same issue - only listing "Reunion" as a country. Any ideas/help? I'm at risk of losing this sale now that we can't get this item working for him via GSP.

What would you more experienced sellers recommend I do?

Spain’s post is now able to send letters and parcels to the United States and a number of other countries following improvements in the international transport situation. It’s expected that additional routes will be opened in the coming weeks, thanks to wider availability of air routes and cooperation among postal operators using closed transit and shared road transport from central Europe. However, Spain’s post cannot accept letters or parcels for destinations to which there is no transport capacity. Under these circumstances, the force majeure situation previously announced continues. Also, the government has extended a state of alert until May 10. This will continue to have a major impact on operations and quality of service for all types of inbound and outbound mail.

Such coherence is not what ebay is noted for.

I see a ton of listings, even in the same category that ship to Spain under GSP.

When reposting the only country that it shows i ship to is “Reunion”. Something doesn’t seem right here.
