Giving Credit to another in your listing

Hi Everyone.  I have an item that I knew was interesting and older but I searched in vain for info.  I finally stumbled on a blog written by someone I thought could help me .  She went over and above getting me the info I needed to accurately list and price my item.  Would I be allowed to mention her name and blog in my listing!

Thanks.

You should be asking the person you want to mention.

As far as eBay, as long as you don't provide a link/url (active or not) to the blog you should be fine especially if there is no selling activity at the blog.

I occasionally reprint a Wikipedia article when explaining an obscure item.

When I do, I put the quote in italics and add Wikipedia as the source. Again, no URL.

When I quote a review of a book I use quotation marks and name the source.

Neither has caused any problems with eBay.

But both would be 'open source' and 'fair use'.
