Does anyone feel that the new way of getting paid by eBay is unacceptable? Since Paypal is gone a seller has to wait at least 48 hours to see the money in their bank account. This certainly slows down the shipping process. When I saw the money in my Paypal cash right away I often shipped the same day. I LOVE same day shipping and getting that item to my buyer ASAP. Oh, and eBay fees went up with this new system, not down as they promised. What a MESSAGE.

I actually like the Managed Payments and my fee's have either been the same or lower.
It just takes a little while to get used to the new payment system and adjust as there is no going back once switched over.
Good luck on everything

You can still ship the same day. The money for shipping comes out of the pending funds. I use the weekly pay and sometimes the shipping costs that come out before the item gets paid for, but it balances out the following week. You would need to keep a balance in the account for this to work for you. It takes time, but you will make it work for you!

With PP (I am not yet in MP), I see the cleared payment in my PP account and ship then. I can even buy shipping labels through PP from Held funds.
It could be weeks before I move money to my bank account.
And when I do, PP tells me it may take four or five days to process the deposit. (It might be faster, but the message is cautious.) (The processing time may be shorter in the USA. I am in Canada.)
I don't see moving payments from MP to your bank as a problem.
But if you mean you do not see cleared payments in your Managed Payments account for days, that is a big problem, especially with e-cheques or overseas customers whose non-credit card payments can be slow to process and clear.

I am curious how are you not in Managed Payments yet?

Au contraire, the entire system is totally acceptable to me and has been working smooth as silk for almost two years now. Any and all pending funds are forwarded in a timely manner, although not same day. Most shipping charges comes out of those pending funds so payments forwarded represent a good part of gross profits. I chose the weekly pay option to keep things simple. And normally I would ship next day without hesitation but I have now opted for three day shipping to reduce visits to the post office thereby reducing health risks to my person. But I do ship all weekend sales on Monday, even purchases made on Monday morning. So I see no need to alter your shipping time and trust me, total fees did not change with the MP system.

If it's slowing down your shipping process, have you adjusted your handling time?
Are you using the option to pay for postage using funds from the buyer's payment, which you can do as soon as the buyer pays (lower left on shipping page)?

I definitely agree. In fact, since I want funds from sales going to my PayPal account and not my bank account, and because I am not giving my bank account info to anyone else, I will no longer be selling on eBay. I also see the lack of an option to have funds go to PayPal as an attempt to monopolize. Could there be another class action or legal proceeding in ebay’s future?

You refuse to comply and take your sales business elsewhere.

We were going crazy trying to keep track of MP with daily payouts as some days they don't sent a payment and it seemed like it was slightly behind. It was almost impossible to tell what payment was for what day. Switching to weekly payments has really streamlined everything, perhaps more than paypal as now we look forward to a ' paycheck ' and we know at least we can pinpoint sales by the week...The key to all of this is to either have a small amount of working capital slightly above your week's avg shipping costs, or use the pending payouts to buy the postage. As the other poster stated, it is nice because you basically receive clean money minus all the fees with each deposit.

Payments hitting later than with PayPal doesn’t seem “timely” to me, and the shipping coming out of the payments should not affect gross profits in any way unless eBay doesn’t include the portion going to shipping in their fee calculation, which I’m sure they do. Then there’s the bigger problem of wanting your sales going your PayPal account, not your bank account. Not having that as an option is just another eBay money grab.

I have no problems with MP. Been in it since September 7, 2020. Never had a payment not clear. Take the postage out of pending. Now they are taking monthly fees out of available so I wven like that as well.
Change is hard butonce you get used to it it will change again....Someting to look forward to.

It has not slowed down the shipping process for me.
The "trigger" to ship an item has not changed - I ship when eBay tells me it is time to ship.
If Managed Payments is slowing down your shipping process, then the problem is with your shipping process.
Credit card can also take several days to clear - but no restaurant has ever held up my meal until the money was in their bank account.

My fees are down. eBay fees are up, but I don’t have to deal with PayPal fees.

Must be a glitch - you still have your items listed.
