Hey there, so I have a bunch of fixed priced listings that I need to switch to auction style. I'm using Firefox browser. I click the drop-down arrow to do it, and an error page opens up that says"The address wasn’t understood"
Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (httpss) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.
You might need to install other software to open this address.
WTH? Maybe I need to update Firefox? Anyone else get this?
Thanks for the help!

Fixed price listings
"You can't change a fixed price listing to an auction-style listing."

You can't change listing type in mid-stream. There's no way to revise an existing listing to convert it from FP to Auction or vice versa.
You have to end the Fixed price listing and then relist it as an Auction type.

It looks like an eBay coder was changing something, maybe did a bulk search and replace to change HTTP to HTTPS, but screwed it up and added another S to existing HTTPS links also.
There are probably a half dozen ways to work around it, but no easy button solutions that don't involve running GreaseMonkey scripts or browser addons like Redirector in Firefox that I can think of offhand.
This Redirector rule would convert all messed up HTTPSS links anywhere on the domain ebay.com automatically, and would work fine when when using the dropdown on the right to convert them one at a time.
I have no idea what whether it would work if you selected a bunch and used the bulk "Send to online auction" button, and can't test it because I don't want to send any of mine to online auction (but I don't think it would work for bulk - the mechanism is different.)
It could also be done for listings one at a time by opening each one's item page and clicking a JavaScript bookmarklet that could be created to grab the item number from the page and construct and execute the "send to online" auction link for that item number.
A manual way to do it without any doodads is to use the dropdown, right click on the "send to online auction" choice, and open that link in a new tab. That open will fail, but you can edit the extra S out of HTTPSS in the address bar for that tab and then execute the edited link.
I'd say if you have a lot of these to do, installing the Redirector addon in Firefox would be the easiest option - I don't think it works in any of the Firefox Quantum (57+?) versions though.
Finally, have you tried selecting more than one (or a bunch) and trying to bulk "send to online auction"? It's possible the links that method uses are not broken.

General reply
You can send a Fixed price listing to Auction
It ends the Fixed Price listing & starts a new Auction listing
We just had a post like this a few days ago & it is working fine for me with Windows 10 running edge.
