So I guess with the new Label Printing page we should double check our Site Preferences and reset them the way we had them prior to eBay changing them with the new process ... so here's how to get HOSED by eBay with one of their changes. My Combined shipping is (or at least WAS) set to TOTAL all shipping on a multiple order and then I adjust an Invoice to the Buyer once things are packed. Apparently eBay has decided to change that setting and just charge the Buyer the lower shipping cost of the two ... the pic below shows what the Buyer paid and what I have to pay due to a larger and heavier box ... the 2nd lower cost item purchased is actually larger and heavier then the more expensive item so the shipping on it would have been at or above the 1st item. These were two Auctions and ironically they simply came through Paid ... in doing the math I am paying $ 15.13 out of pocket more in shipping so I figure with Fees this means the Buyer is bascially getting the $ 22 item for next to nothing ...

Just curious...did you check your preferences? Had they been changed from how you had originally set them? I have not had to deal with this new label page yet, however, I know my time is coming. One more thing if you don't mind, did you check the PayPal amount for this order?

@myjunqueyourtreasure Mine worked fine until they changed them ... I certainly didn't and the only thing "new" is the label page ...

Thank you. I am sure that I will be posting here, too, when this new label page hits my account. I can hardly wait.

I do see one Free Shipping item in your very recent solds... the tracks. And that would be a big package

@lintbrush* Thanks but I would have to attribute that to eBay again ... those Pre-War tracks weigh between 8 - 10 lbs so I would never knowingly put them up as Free shipping ...

The label page would just reflect what the buyers invoice said, it wouldn’t have anything to do with your preferences or be the cause of any changes to what is being charged. As another poster mentioned it looks as if the one item had free shipping for parcel select and a charge only if Priority was chosen. It’s possible that a mistake was made when listing?

That's what happened here. The listing doesn't have any revisions and it does not have local pickup. It looks like seller error listing with free shipping unintentionally.

Yes, it is "possible" that a mistake was made but in this case I just don't think so ... this was done at the same time as several other heavy items (like the other one the Buyer purchased with it) and in checking those they are NOT Free Shipping. I use FS very very seldom and only on light weight low cost items that I am ready to get rid of ... but I do know that eBay tends to latch on to settings that meet their agenda like Free Shipping, Free Returns, Free Anything else they can get for Buyers, etc.
In any case, the items are on their merry way to the customer ...
