That's very odd if that's how it works. We don't do freight shipping so I haven't run into it, but maybe someone else will be able to help find a workaround. If I were in your shoes (and I don't like this solution, but it may work), I'd cancel with "Problem with buyer's address" and relist with only Local Pickup as an option. Not a great option, but at least you'll have the ability to do Local Pickup. Edit: obviously only after coordinating that with the customer first!
