Ok , Ebay is cramming GTC down sellers throats. What happens if a seller activates a free listing offer and a GTC ad ends and restarts, will the seller get charged or will it be free. THe ebay offers state new listing ... I am just wondering what will happen in this case? I haven't seen this question posted yet.

The terms of every special offer for free insertions will usually state clearly whether the offer applies to GTC listings that roll over during the offer period (if, of course, they meet the other requirements of the offer such as categories etc.). For instance, the terms of the current 200-insertions offer states, "Good 'Til Cancelled listings that renew during the Promotion Period are eligible for the Promotion."

Its meant to be confusing. The more extra listing fees due to this confusion the better. That is the plan and the goal.

Yes, I do believe that it is meant to confuse. I say get a huge , big calender and hang it up near where you do your ebay. List your items to end late at night. Count 29 days and mark the calender (or count 28 days if you are going to be busy on the 29th day) and end those listings.. No freaking way am I going to let ebay screw me out of fees. No freaking way!
To confuse matters even more, some of my 30 day listings (under another name ) automatically renew a few times and I did NOT write GTC. Some of my 7 day auctions are also automatically renewing and I didn't check anything off and I have not been charged. There is no way to figure out if what I list today using 30 day fixed price will automatically renew w/o charging me.
How this company expects to stay in business after screwing with sellers so many times is beyond me. Unfortunately, I have a house full of collectible toys and I need to unload them. 21 years here and I really don't feel like starting over in other websites.

Ditto the above.
As long as a seller bothers to read the terms, I see no reason for being "confused" about how this works.
