Free Auction Insertion Fee Promotion in March 2018

I activated a promotion in mid March for free auction listing insertion fees. When I got my Ebay invoice it appears that I was charged insertion fees for all of these items I listed at that time?

Sometimes the promos are only for certain listing durations, categories, or other variables.

Check the fine print and make sure your listings were included.

Or it's another glitch. Then you'll have to call customer service for a refund.

The same thing happened to me. After I listed tons of auctions for $1 ea and expected they were free to list, 2 weeks later all the insertion fees showed up on my account. It was $109. I called eBay 5 times to get them removed and they finally took them off. You know what they say about the squeaky wheel ,, call them!

$1 sounds like a listing duration fee (for 1- and 3-day listings). Is that what it was?

I listed a ton of auction-style with free insertion fees and was charged an additional $150.00 I got every dime back. Ebay admitted there was a glitch in the system that started sometime around March 5 through to March 21, I think, so a whole lot of people were affected. I called customer service and explained the situation and got the help I needed. I didn't get a promotion letter or anything like that. All of my insertion fees for every item I listed was showing up as $0.00 listing fees. It was really weird, because I checked my account constantly and had received free listings in a similiar manner in the past, so figured they owed me the favor. I've been selling on Ebay for almost 5 years now and it was truly the first time that I ever felt I had been helped. Don't give up on Customer Service yet, if you are not getting the help you need then request to talk with a supervisor.
