A buyer purchased the same item twice from me. He canceled the first order to re-buy again with a different payment method. I had no issue with is. When he received the item he immediately claimed that I sent him the incorrect item and that I did not list it properly. I tried to explain to him but he did not understand. I asked ebay to step in with help for the false return claim but received unfortunate responses. They told me I did everything properly. However are forcing me to refund the item out of good morals and to keep my account in good standing. This is ABSURD! I am being punished because the buyer made false statements. This item was also listed as NO REFUNDS.

Unfortunately, that is how eBay works now. Buyers are allowed to lie to get what they want. All they need to do is "pick a lie" from the dropdown menu and the subsequent automated process begins. At that point, it does not matter what your description says, nor what your photos indicate. What the buyer says becomes FACT even if it is not.
No returns does not mean you don't give refunds.
In the future, be advised that you should NOT ever ask eBay to step in and help. That is the fast track on the auto train for a case to be found in favor of the buyer. eBay can at that point also refund the buyer from your proceeds and let them keep the item for free. You also get a nasty defect on your account simply for 'asking' eBay for help instead of willingly becoming a victim of a liar buyer.

The NO REFUNDS you state in your listings goes directly against eBay's policy - the money back guarantee over rides that.
In case of INAD, which is what your customer claimed, you need to accept the return, send a pre paid label for shipping the item back to you and refund on receipt of said item.
Because you refused the return claim eBay has forced the refund (as per their policy for INAD) and assumed you did not want the item back.

You think you're being punished now, wait until the buyer sends back their old video card or an empty box and you still have to refund.
And your no refunds, it doesn't mean anything here.

The item was actually listed as 'No Returns', and 'No Returns' and 'no refunds' are two different animals entirely.
Moving forward, it's always best to be proactive in this situation. If you want the item back, approve the Return and refund the buyer in full only when the item comes back to you . As an afterthought... it's never a good idea to ask eBay to step in, either. For what it's worth, all we sellers empathize to your situation as it's been presented. Upward and onward and all...

Your being scammed because (1) you sold a highly scammed electronic item and (2) you don't sell much with a mere double digit feedback score and that alone attracts scammers like flies to the proverbial dung heap. There is little hope you will get your graphics card back. The absurdity is that Ebay allows relatively novice sellers like yourself to even list Nvidia graphics cards, or any such expensive item for that matter.

I had a buyer who returned a print after accusing me of shipping it damaged. No box damage at all. It’s obvious she damaged it but eBay couldn’t have cared less. I had to refund her, pay for the return label and pay to have it reframed. Another buyer brought a curio box then complained that I sent a mismatched set because the lid wasn’t a tight fit. I tried to explain the lid was part of the set and it just sits on top - it’s not a cookie jar or humidor. Same deal - refund and pay for return shipping. eBay does not support sellers in any way!!!
