Feeling so frustrated. According to eBay chat, there is no option to turn off their adding of forced best offers to auctions. I was also told by chat that it was to lower overpriced items. Really? I list at the lowest fair price I can manage, and the amounts at which they start offers are ridiculously low and under my original cost so would lose. Now I have to go into each auction to change it back! Or.. field the ridiculously low offers. On top of that, they encourage free shipping, which increases their fee total since they charge you on the purchase amount so would include your shipping cost since it's not actually "free " for us. And they try to auctions and suggest .99 starting which can be big losses. I'm feeling like Amazon has probably lowered bidding activity here and many people don't want to wait 7 days to win an item anyway. And automatic price adjustments on "buy it now " are also pushed every listing. I get that they want the buyers to get a deal, but eBay should want sellers to make some sort of profit here too.. and it's getting hard not to feel frustrated.

Hi, i found that using the app to list increases the chance of eBay adding in Best Offer or Easy Pricing. I primarily use my PC to list using the Advanced Listing tool. There are fewer defaulted additions doing it this way, and the seller has more options and more control on the Advanced form.
While eBay may push for BO, Easy Pricing, Free Shipping, 99 cent auction starts, etc., these are just suggestions and sellers are free to choose. I usually ignore them.
Every once and awhile eBay adds the Best Offer on one of my listings. They put it on, i take it off. While we cant stop eBay from adding the feature, we can still turn it off afterwards. But yes, it can be frustrating.

"It would be nice if they gave you a blanket offers setting without having to go into each auction or to opt out. "
You can do exactly that with the bulk edit feature.
ymmv.

Don't list using the app. You can start drafts and take pictures on the app ... but if you want to get away from eBay's "help" ... finish your drafts on a desktop or laptop.
Use the "Business Tool" for listing, not the "Quick Listing Tool" (it was previously called the Advanced Listing Form)
When you use the Business Tool, eBay does not add Best Offer, they don't suggest pricing, they don't guess at shipping ... no "helpful" suggestions or changes.
At the top right of the listing form is "Switch to Business Tool"
