Hi,
I've been having a terrible time with the font size and type defaulting to a different size and type when editing drafts or relisting. I have had to redo listings several times to get things the way I want. It happens intermittently with draft listings and almost always with relistings. Any ideas why this might be happening and what I can do to stop it. It is very annoying and time consuming.
Thanks,
Lee B.

Did you copy/paste text from somewhere else? If so that can cause these kinds of issues.
What you can do is clear out everything, then type everything directly into the box and choose the font/size you want from the toolbar menu. Then you can use that listing as a template or use it to "sell similar".
You can also create an insert and if you wish to go that route let me know and I'll help out.

The NEW listing form seems to default to Arial 14 pt. which is what I use all the time (bolded). This is a great font and size for mobile users.

Have you ever looked at one of your listings on a smartphone? If not, you should. That tiny font you're using might be fine for a 15-21 inch computer screen, but it's almost impossible to read on a smartphone. More and more sales and traffic are coming from mobile users, and all sellers should optimize their listings to accomodate those users.

Some of the OPs listings have a small font size and others are larger. Look at the sunbonnet sue listing for an example of the larger font size. The OP didn't say, but it's possible eBay is defaulting to the smaller font size.

The Times Roman 10 may be your browser's default font size. It's what you see when the page text doesn't have any font style or size selected.

The new listing tool adds this HTML at the beginning of my item description each time it saves my listing...
<font rwr="1" style="font-family:Arial" size="4">
If I revise my item 3 times, I will have 4 sets of the above HTML in my item description like this...
<font rwr="1" style="font-family:Arial" size="4"><font rwr="1" style="font-family:Arial" size="4"><font rwr="1" style="font-family:Arial" size="4"><font rwr="1" style="font-family:Arial" size="4">
... my text...
</font></font></font></font>

I have been complaining about this since the new form came out -- and eBay WILL NOT FIX THIS. You will get another row of that html text every time you hit "sell similar" or if you revise the listing (as I do every 30 days to lower the price). I don't want size 14 font. It looks like I'm yelling at my buyers. I created the listings to look like I want them to (they provide the html tools to use bold or different fonts or sizes of fonts or color) -- then eBay puts in text (without my permission) in front of mine to change it all. WHEN did they tell us they planned to do that? What eBay has inserted is like a virus or cancer. Self-duplicating and you CAN NOT get rid of it. If you try, it comes right back. DRIVES ME BONKERS! You don't get this junk with the old selling form. Demand they switch you back. That's what I did and I'm MUCH happier.

EBay in their "lofty wisdom" inserts unwanted text into the listings before yours. It looks like this (look at html side) <font rwr="1" style="font-family:Arial" size="4"> That converts your text size and font to what they want. All you have to do is put your instructions AFTER theirs and it should look like you want it to. Another option: call Customer Support and ask to opt out of the new form. The old one DOES NOT do this to us.
